Congratulations class of 2023 - we’re so proud of you!
The last few years have been very strange times in education and the impact of the pandemic and everything that has happened since has been unprecedented. No group of students has felt this more than our Class of 2023 and yet… you’ve achieved so much!
83% of our class of 2023 are planning on attending university.
Across all our qualifications:
- 97% pass rate
- 65% achieved all grades at A*-C (or equivalent)
- 49% achieved at least one grade B/Distinction or above
Students studying Triple BTECs achieved some exceptional results with 84% getting top grades. Several students from these programmes are heading off to prestigious Russell Group universities.

Abu
Congrats to Abu who got a Triple D* in Sport and Exercise Science. He’s now off to the University of Bradford to study Physiotherapy. He came to us from Manchester Communication Academy.

Alyan
Congrats to Alyan who got triple D in Sport and Exercise Science. Alyan’s off to Huddersfield University to study Physiotherapy. He came to us from Abraham Moss and lives in Cheetham Hill.
Ashley
Congrats to Ashley who got Triple D* in Sport, Coaching and Development. Ashley’s off to UA92 to do Sport Management. She came to us from Wright Robinson and lives in Gorton.
Ayiman
Congrats to Ayiman who got a Triple D* in Sport, Coaching and Development. He’s now off to Liverpool John Moores to do Sport Business Management. He came to us from Abraham Moss.

Billie
Congrats to Billie who got D*D*D in Sport, Coaching and Development. She’s now off to UA92 to study Sports Journalism. Billie came to us from Dean Trust Ardwick.
“The support you get at Connell is great. It helped me realise what I wanted to do with my life. The staff are supportive and if you mention that you want to do something, they always find ways to help. They helped me by sending links, articles and books to increase my knowledge of journalism.”
Ellie
Congrats to Ellie who got Triple D* in Sport, Coaching and Development. She is off to do Physical Education. She came to us from Wright Robinson and lives in Droylsden.
Gavin
Congrats to Gavin who got Triple D* in Sport and Exercise Science. He’s now off to UCLAN to study Physiotherapy. He came to us from Manchester Enterprise Academy.

Massive congrats to Muskan who achieved the following A Level results: A in Sociology, A in Geography and a B in Biology. She’s off to Manchester University to study Geography. She came to us from Cedar Mount Academy.

Congrats to Sanam who got D, D, M in Health and Social Care and is off to Salford University to study Social Work. She came to us from Manchester Communication Academy.

Zahra’a
Congrats to Zahra’a who passed her Health and Social Care, Business and Psychology BTECs to get onto the Counselling and Psychotherapy course at Salford University. Zahra’a lives in Beswick and came to us from Levenshulme High School.
