Connell Co-op College

We’re a sixth form college in East Manchester for students aged between 16-19. We offer a range of A Levels and BTECs in a modern, purpose-built college full of state-of-the-art IT and digital technology.

We’re Manchester’s highest performing sixth form college for A Level/BTEC progress and progression to higher education and training.

We are here because we think East Manchester deserves the best. We are here to offer you a sixth form college that will help you to achieve your aspirations.

If you have the right mindset, then there are no limits to what you can accomplish. You will be an integral part of a caring and supportive learning community, not one face among hundreds of others. You’ll be taught by passionate teachers who will treat you as an individual. You will be challenged, but we will support you. You will learn, and we will guide you. Ultimately, you will succeed.

When you leave us, you will be ready for the world: the world of university, of apprenticeship, of work. The world of discovery and possibility. We want to be part of your journey.

A Warm Welcome
From our Principal

Emma Soper, Principal

For me, post 16 has always been the most exciting part of education. It’s the time when students figure out who they are and what they want to be. At Connell, we recognise it’s a privilege to be part of that journey. Supporting students through this crucial stage of their education is what we do best. We deliver excellent qualifications and a rich student experience. This ensures that when students leave us they stand out from the crowd. Whether you want to study medicine, be a lawyer, start your own business or work in grassroots community sport, we have the courses to help you achieve your goals.

What do people say?

I would recommend Connell as it’s a diverse college with so many different cultures. The fact that it’s not huge means students make friends easier. Teachers give attention to each student to make sure they’re on track.
