ABOUT THE COURSE
This qualification is for students seeking an in-depth study of the computing sector. You will study a number of core, compulsory units, including: principles and fundamentals of computer science and IT systems security and encryption. The double course also includes: planning and management of computing projects; business application and social media; and the impact of computing.
The optional units include: digital graphics and animation; and digital audio. Optional units could change, depending on the needs of students.

HOW YOU’LL STUDY
As well as the standard classroom learning experience, you will also have access to industry guest speakers and visits to industry leading businesses in the Manchester area and beyond. You will be assessed through a combination of internal and external assessments.
